Privacy Policy
TinyGenius Hub ("we," "us," or "our") provides a learning app for children ages 1–9 with parent-controlled accounts. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the TinyGenius Hub iOS and Android apps.
1. Who this policy applies to
- Parents and guardians create and manage the only sign-in accounts in the app.
- Children do not create their own accounts. Learner profiles are created and managed by the parent.
If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the app.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Parent account information
When you sign up or sign in, we may collect:
- Email and password, or Apple ID data when you use Sign in with Apple
- Parent display name (optional)
- Parent lock PIN, stored as a one-way hash
2.2 Learner profile information
- Name or nickname, age (1–9), optional gender, avatar, and learning progress
2.3 Support messages
If you use Contact TinyGenius, we store your name, email, message, and account id to respond.
2.4 Technical data
- Diagnostic app events for troubleshooting
- On-device preferences and optional "Remember me" (secure device storage)
2.5 Subscription and purchase information
Premium subscription purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store — we never see your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to sync your subscription status to your parent account across devices.
2.6 Advertising identifiers
The free version shows ads via Google AdMob, which may collect limited technical data (such as a device/advertising identifier) to serve and measure ads. Ads are always non-personalized and child-directed — see Section 6. Premium subscribers see no ads.
3. How we use information
- Provide and sync profiles and progress
- Authenticate parents and protect learner switching
- Operate activities, rewards, and age-appropriate content
- Process and manage Premium subscriptions
- Respond to support requests and improve security
We do not sell personal information. Ads shown in the free version are non-personalized and are not selected using learner data.
4. Where data is stored
- Cloud: Supabase (PostgreSQL) when you sign in
- On device: Local cache and secure storage for convenience

6. Advertising
Ads shown in the free version of the app (via Google AdMob) are configured with Google's child-directed treatment setting and a maximum ad content rating of "G". Ads are non-personalized only — we do not use interest-based or behavioral advertising, and we do not share learner profile data with AdMob for targeting. Purchasing Premium removes ads entirely.
7. In-app purchases and subscriptions
Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or annual, with a free trial where offered) that unlocks extra content and removes ads. Subscriptions are billed by Apple/Google, renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and can be managed in your Apple ID / Google Play account settings.
8. Children's privacy (COPPA)
We collect child profile data only from parents. Children cannot register on their own. Any ads shown are non-personalized and child-directed — we do not permit behavioral ad tracking of children. Parents may delete profiles or the entire account in the app.
9. Data retention and deletion
- Data remains while your account is active
- Delete account in Family settings removes cloud data when deletion succeeds
10. Security
We use HTTPS/TLS, database row-level security, and hashed PINs. No storage method is 100% secure.
11. Your rights

12. International users
Data may be processed where our servers are located.
13. Changes
We may update this policy; continued use means acceptance.
